The application process for B.Tech/M.Sc courses begin: Calcutta University admission 2017

The University College of Science and Technology with Calcutta university has recently begun their application process for the admission to B.Tech, M.Sc. MA and M.Sc (Agriculture) courses. The application process shall happen to the courses at the centres that are offered by the Technology, Home Science and Faculty of Science. The online website shall be used to apply the application forms and it shall be opened until July 6th of 2017. The students can even apply for more than one course at a time by filling up the application forms online, yet, they have to mention their preferences carefully as it shall never be changed in the near future. The allotment to the candidates shall be done based upon the preferences they have mentioned in the application form.

The Important Dates:
  • The final and last date to submit the application online shall be July 6th of 2017
  • The final date to deposit the amount for the application form for the admission of B.Tech or M.Sc shall be July 7th of 2017
  • The final date to submit the printed copy of the application form along with the documents to the Calcutta university shall be July 7th of 2017
  • The very first provisional selection shall be published by July 14th of 2017
  • The hall ticket can be downloaded to write the entrance test and it shall be made available online starting from July 14th of 2017
  • The tentative entrance test shall happen between July 18th till July 21st of 2017
  • The tentative entrance exam Results shall be published by August 1st of 2017
  • The printed application forms must be submitted along with the other documents by the non CU students before August 2nd of 2017 and August 3rd of 2017.
These are mostly the final dates to submit the forms and other details respectively.

New JNU hostel to allot 75% rooms to north-east students

A new hostel is going to come up on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in New Delhi, where 75 per cent of the rooms will be allotted to the students from the northeast, Union minister Jitendra Singh said on Monday. The announcement was made on July 24, 2017, by the Union Minister of State for the Development of North East India Jitendra Singh. He laid down the foundation stone for the new hostel that will be called Barak Hostel after the Barak River in the north-east. Although the construction of the hostel has been pending for up to three years, the minister said that the hostel will most likely be operational after 20 months. B.Tech admission 2018 at Naval Academy, Ezhimala

Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried males, for admission to the  10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) four years degree course commencing in January 2018, at Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala in Kannur district of Kerala.   Eligibility     Applicant should have been born between July 2, 1998 and January 1, 2001 (both dates inclusive) and should have passed senior secondary examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English in either in Class X or Class XII.
