Supreme Court has announced using fake caste certificate for education or employment will lose degree and job!

Many colleges and school insist that children should carry a caste certificate. This should be curbed, it puts immense pressure on parents to stand in long queues to get the certificate and when approached the authorities they keep in pending on their desks, while the public is shunted from pillar to post.

Supreme Court has announced that anyone found guilty of using fake caste certificate for getting education or jobs will lose their degree and their job.  The court also added that, in addition, they will also be punished.

 The top court said “Even if a person has been in job for 20 years on the basis of a fake caste (document), he will lose the job and also get punished,".  The Supreme Court has given the order and it is strictly followed.

The apex court too said that no leniency or consideration of long years of service, if anyone is found guilty.  Last month the Centre asked all central government departments to collect details about such appointments. According to a PTI report, the Centre said that employees who got jobs using fake certificates forging that they are scheduled caste or backward caste certificates will be dismissed.

In one of the report it is stated that “A total of 1,296 cases of jobs secured allegedly through fake caste certificates were under the department of financial services. As many as 157 such cases were in State Bank of India, 135 in Central Bank of India, 112 in the Indian Overseas Bank, 103 in Syndicate Bank, and 41 each in New India Assurance and United India Assurance”.For more Details Click here:

New JNU hostel to allot 75% rooms to north-east students

A new hostel is going to come up on the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus in New Delhi, where 75 per cent of the rooms will be allotted to the students from the northeast, Union minister Jitendra Singh said on Monday. The announcement was made on July 24, 2017, by the Union Minister of State for the Development of North East India Jitendra Singh. He laid down the foundation stone for the new hostel that will be called Barak Hostel after the Barak River in the north-east. Although the construction of the hostel has been pending for up to three years, the minister said that the hostel will most likely be operational after 20 months.
