Arts streams turns popular: 2017
The DU (Delhi University) is all set
to release their very first cut off list for the admission of first year
students. The admission process for the UG (Under Graduate) courses
shall start from Friday. Nearly 30,72,674 number of students have said
to be applied for the admission to the Delhi University. The students
have said to be applied for sixty different courses in this academic
year.
Over the past few years, the
Delhi University has seen a quick rise in receiving applications for
the arts stream courses and with BA programmes. Nearly 1,40,619 number
of applicants have said to be applied for both these courses and this
number has been rising every year. The reason behind such high demands
for these two courses is that the students find it easy to study them
and moreover the science students can apply for any degree courses with
the Delhi University.
The next
most popular course in the Delhi University is BA Honours in English.
Nearly 1,28,842 number of applications have been received for this
particular course in this academic year. Political science is yet
another popular course that has said to be received about 99,372
applicants and the economics undergraduate course has received 94,476
applications in this academic year.
Most of the applications that are received by the Delhi University are
from the students who come from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Haryana. The
highest number of applicants is from Delhi, and about 1,24,626
applications are received in this academic year. About 64,557 applicants
from Uttar Pradesh have said to be applied for various course in the
Delhi University. The Haryana applicants are about 39,870 in terms of
number. Delhi University is well known for their education sector and
even students from Andaman and Nicobar island choose this university to
pursue their Undergraduate course.
